What a FUN-FILLED & INTENSE 5 YEARS it has been with UGCY participants & volunteers being given the opportunity to work on The X-Factor, Your Face Sounds Familiar, BBC Proms and much more… not forgetting our 2012 world-record breaking attempt “UGCY Uplifts London” at Westfield, Stratford!!

Now we want you to come and enjoy more joyous sounds and celebrate with us as we host our 6th annual UGCY Competition!!!!!!

LAST YEAR SAW THE BEST YEAR YET, WITH PERFORMANCES POTENTIALLY WORTHY OF WINNING ANY OF THE PREVIOUS YEARS, BUT SAW LUV (LEICESTER UNIVERSITY VOICES) STEAL THE SHOW WITH A SHOWSTOPPING PERFORMANCE AND WIN FOR THE FIRST TIME!!

They will be back to defend their title. Contending for the title of “University Gospel Choir of the Year 2016” – from a record number of entries, we have our 7 finalists:

As always the competition will be full of dancing, laughter and roaring cheers (and a few tears!) with our host & seasoned Gospel Music gurus – Andrea Encinas, Mark De-Lisser, Ayo & Stephanie Oyerinde – judging the competition ultimately deciding which choir will be crowned the 2016 UNIVERSITY GOSPEL CHOIR OF THE YEAR!!
