Healing From Rejection

Of all the wounds we can receive throughout our lives, rejection is possibly the deepest.
If you struggle with rejection you will know that it affects the way you think, feel, the way you see yourself, and the way you interact with others. Many people suffer with signs of rejection, thinking it is just their personality when it is not who God made them to be.
Rejection can have its roots right back when we were in our mother’s womb, or perhaps during childhood. For others it happens later in life through a deep betrayal or the breakdown of a marriage for example – it steals our ability to freely love life, to love ourselves and to love others. As well as bringing depression and a sense that we don’t belong, rejection can also affect our ability to fully receive and embrace the love and acceptance that God has for us.
