Chris has more that 20 years of knowledge and expertise especially in the area of Churches use of songs/music. He himself is a well respected songwriter/musicians and leads worship for large youth meetings and in his local church.
Chris is known for his lively and illustrative presentations sharing clear and precise information.
MATTHEW OJAR is Membership Executive for PRSforMusic. PRS for Music is the UK’s largest society of songwriters, composers and music publishers. They license the use of members’ musical compositions and lyrics when they are played in public, broadcast on radio or TV, used on the internet or copied onto physical products such as CDs or DVDs.
Matthew focuses on assisting new and existing members of PRSforMusic how to register correctly and guide them on how to get the best out the the system.
In his own right, Matthew is a rising artist, songwriter/producer on the Gospel Music scene. Therefore his passion for informing and engaging the Gospel Music sector is very real and relevant to his experience and how he would really like to see songwriters and composers understand and rightly benefit from this important music industry body.
You will receive and overview of the key licensing and collection agencies you need to join. Book early for the next Episode which will feature PPLUK – a different major agency to PRS.
PPLUK licenses the use of recorded music where played in public, broadcast on radio or TV, or used on the internet, on behalf of record companies and performers. This means that you may not have written songs BUT you performed on the recordings and live broadcast of music. Backing vocalists, sessions musicians take special note.
