To most people’s surprise, the latest season of American Idol had 8 of the 10 finalists being Christian, which is a first in the shows history. All 8 finalists were also proud to share their faith through songs, comments and social media which top 3 finalist Angie Miller often used.
Candice Glover, a vocal powerhouse from St. Helena Island, came back for the third time after auditioning in the 9th and 11th season where she didn’t reach the finals, to win the competition. Backstage, Glover stated that ‘I’d always known for some reason that it would happen if I kept going’. I believe that was God’s message to her not to give up and I’m sure she is thanking God that she didn’t. God truly blessed her with an amazing talent and placed her in this position to be able to spread it to thousands of viewers.
