Singer, songwriter and producer Christian Anderson, best known for his anthemic lyricism, signature falsetto, percussive theatrics and roaring refrains, brings a cinematic approach he coins as “Epic Christian Pop” to ‘I Heard The Bells (Peace On Earth)‘.
The song is a contemporary remake of ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day’, a carol based on the 1863 poem “Christmas Bells” by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Written during the civil war, the carol concludes with the bells ringing out with resolution that God is not dead, nor doth He sleep and that there will ultimately be peace on earth, good will to men.
“I tend to resonate with songs that have the deepest lyrics, often written during the darkest of times,” shares Anderson. “All the author could see when he wrote this poem was what was going on during the civil war. Yet, through the darkness the words are filled with a hope that goes beyond what is happening in the moment. With all the division in this political season, I feel like this song about peace on Earth will resonate with people, especially during this Christmas season.
The epic, theatrical ‘I Heard The Bells (Peace On Earth)’ music video features a cast of actors and actresses in a civil war setting.
