Ché Sampson is a singer/songwriter from South London with a rich musical family
‘Rest‘ is taken from Ché Sampson’s New EP due to be released summer 2018. The single has an acoustic feel with a fusion of percussive African and Indian sounds, but still incorporates a soulful urban style. The song is written by Ché and produced by Marcus Johnson who has worked with Kim Burrell, The Escoffery’s and Damage, just to name a few. Ché explains how the single came about: “This song was inspired by my need to not excessively worry about life’s pressures to where sleepless nights and anxious thoughts became my regular mindset. Matthew 6:26 says, ‘If God takes care of the birds, how much so would he take care of us?’. Be it unpaid bills, job interviews, relationship pressures or health concerns, God will take care of you“.
‘Rest‘ is available on all digital downloads all major platforms now. The video is available to view above.
