After an exhausting journey on the recent road to the 20th MOBO Award, Chos3n found the renewed strength to campaign for an Urban Music Award (UMA), which they won. It is noteworthy that they appeared in the category Best Group as well as Best Gospel, suggesting a cross-market appeal.
The Midlands trio are barely out of the blocks after the release of a highly acclaimed album inside the last 6 months. Without significant marketing and PR a gradual move into the public arena was powered by pure talent, hard work and word of mouth.
The group have constructed a fan-base in the Algarve region of Portugal and their air-play friendly album tracks lift their profile further in the USA. Support from Birmingham press and a growing respect from Gospel artists across the UK will
no doubt result in many future collaborations.

Sandra Godley’s Diamond album is ready to drop and Birmingham Community Gospel Choir are current holders of the BBC Gospel Choir of the Year Award. The London Gospel scene is being matched by rising talents from Britain’s second biggest city.
The album ‘We Are Chos3n’ was released in May 2015. Group members are Juliette Farrell, Andrea Baker-Reid and Jamilla Hinds-King.
