Are you a spoken word artist or performance poet? Poetic – the poetry & spoken word arm of AStepFWD – is excited to be partnering with Bible Society, to give you the opportunity to perform at Big Church Festival 2023.
- All budding poets are encouraged to submit a two-minute audition to auditions@biblesociety.org.uk by Monday 15 May.
- Base your audition performance on a theme, person or passage from the Bible. It should be straight to camera, full of passion and in one take.
- All successful entries will be notified by 17 May and must be available to perform on the Spoken Word Stage at Big Church Festival in the Poetry Slam at 5pm on Sunday 28 May.

Please note: Entry closes on Monday 15 May. Auditions are open to anyone although you need to be over 18 to apply and must be able to perform confidently in front of an audience. This audition is for a chance to perform, and should not be viewed as a guarantee of any sort. Bible Society may select performers at its discretion but is not obligated to do so and further Bible Society is not obligated to provide feedback of any kind.
Uploaded performances will only be used/viewed by Bible Society for this by audition process only. Performing at Big Church Festival by any participant(s) selected by Bible Society will be subject to contract. Bible Society will contact participants using the email provided, if you do not respond in a timely manner to any Bible Society email about this audition, Bible Society may, at its discretion, contact another participant instead.
Bible Society will need to share the details of winning participants with Big Church Festival.
Successful applicants must be available to perform on the Spoken Word Stage at Big Church Festival on Sunday 28 May, 5-6pm. You must check in at The Spoken Word stage by 3pm latest on this day.
