The GX Awards announce AStepFWD as winners of ‘The Prestige Award‘. Saturday 2 September, Birmingham Town Hall. The AStepFWD team attending The GX Awards 2023 were delighted to unexpectedly receive recognition for their hard work promoting Christian artists by winning ‘The Prestige Award’. The event itself took place at the beautiful Birmingham Town Hall featuring many live music performances including Toyin Adekale, Chris Da Ambassada and newcomers Eden Music.
The event hosted by Ibe Giantkiller and founder Annette B, had a warm atmosphere of a community coming together to celebrate the many achievements of Christian artists and creatives. Artists such as Noel Robinson and Toyin Adekale received multiple awards, with winner of Best Actress Sharon Jackson performing an impromptu scene from her play.
Now in its 6th year, The GX Awards are an important addition to events around the country that build awareness and profile not only established artists, but also the TV and radio broadcasters that support them including Sandra Godley, DJ J Hyde, Shoggy Shoggz and DJ Val to name a few.
“I would like to thank our incredible team of volunteers for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make AStepFWD the award winning multi-media platform it is today. Our aim is to create increasing unity and visibility for artists through the UK Christian Charts, our media platforms and many live events. We are so grateful The GX Awards have given recognition of our unique contribution to the UK Christian & Gospel music scene with the Prestige Award. It means a lot.” – Sam Radford, Head of Communications, A Step FWD.
