The vibrant, energetic, high-powered collective that is Urban Praise Project is in the charts again with ‘Give It All’, from their EP “Sacred/Secular”. They made their chart debut in May with the single, ‘You Got My Halleluyah’ featuring veteran rap artist and chart-favourite Faith Child.
Formally formed in 2016, the group, hailed as ‘one of the most exciting worship creators in a long while’ is all about pushing the boundaries of what we know to be corporate worship and breaking the divide between secular and sacred. This much is quite evident in ‘Give It All’ as well as other tracks the group has released to date: God-centered lyrics delivered in the vehicle of music that would hold it’s own amongst other secular songs in the same genre.
UP Project as they are fondly called, consisting of 9 members (some of whom are: Mark Tate (Vocals and Guitar), Tom Snell (Electric Guitar), Alex Iddin (Drums) and Dayna Springer-Clark (Vocals), are fast becoming a favourite at Christian festivals, praise party evenings and other events. Their style is unmistakably urban with a flare of house music which promises (as their tag line goes) to make you ‘sing, dance and jump’ and I am certain you would agree that ‘Give It All’ lives up to that promise!
Congrats again to Urban Praise Project with their No.3 track in the September UK Christian Chart. Click the image below for the full listing of September 2019’s UK Christian Chart Top 10 tracks!
