12th Annual Wise Women Awards 2016 | 05.03.16

Christian women from across the church world in UK are featured in the list of nominees for the 2016 Wise Women Awards, the UK’s annual leading event celebrating the achievements of Christian women in the church and wider society.

The Wise Women Awards was founded by Pastor Marjorie Esomowei, President of Wisdom for Women International, in 2005 and is jointly organised by Wisdom for Women International, a leading International women’s ministry and Keep The Faith magazine, Britain’s foremost magazine about the black faith community.

Past recipients of a Wise Women Award include Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Shauna Muamba, Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkins, Christine Ohuruogu, Lurine Cato, Pastor Yvonne Brooks, Pastor Yemisi Ashimolowo, and Pastor Celia Apeaygei Collins.

The nominees in the 10 Wise Women Awards categories were chosen from nominations sent in by the public. The responsibility for choosing the final list of nominees in each category was decided by a panel of judges comprising:
Pastor Celia Apeagyei-Collins, Founder and President of the Rehoboth Foundation
Bunmi Folarin, Lead Analyst at BP Oil
Sanchia Alasia, Councillor for Barking and Dagenham, Albion Ward,
Caroline Marsh, successful business woman and mystery guest on Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire series
Joan Myers OBE, Paediatric nurse, voted one of the 50 most inspirational leaders in NHS by Health Service Journal.

Nominees and guests at the Wise Women Awards will enjoy a three course buffet, entertainment, motivational talks and an inspiring awards ceremony. The winners of each category will be announced at the Wise Women Awards ceremony taking place on Saturday, 5th March 2016 at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, 45 Prescot Street, London E1 8GP
