We take great pleasure in highlighting and showcasing fresh talent and love the fact that with her very debut single, Sharon has captured the hearts and minds of Judges and listeners across the UK with her track ‘Running’. Once again a massive congrats to her as she continues her music ministry.
We caught up with the UK Christian Chart January #1 artist, and had this response to 3 quick-fire questions:
1. If you had the chance to work with any one person, who would it be?
That’s a tough question because there are just so many people that inspire me! For example, Bethel, Kari Jobe, Joann Rosario, Emeli Sandé, Ayiesha Woods & Tori Kelly (just to name a few ????…) But I think right now, I would love to work with William McDowell! His music really is Spirit filled.
2. Can you tell us anything about your future plans for music?
Well currently I have quite a nice bank of songs written and a number demos made. The plan is just to record the songs and collate them into an album! But since I’m in my 3rd year of university, I will be focusing on passing my exams first! So, in the meantime I’m just writing more songs as the Spirit leads until university is finished. Recording commences afterwards! There will also be a lot more live performances and ministrations coming up! Ultimately, I hope to follow the plan that God has and just let Him lead me.
3. What’s your favourite bible quote and why?
My favourite scripture is Romans 8:17. “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” (NIV)
This verse is actually the inspiration for my blog, www.lifeofacoheir.com and there’s more details on there about why the verse is so significant… But I just love how it gives me perspective about life. It reminds me that earth is not our final destination & better is yet to come! So as ‘life happens’ or in moments of discouragement, the verse pushes me towards contentment because Jesus already took care of everything. Also, I love to stand on the promises of God and this is one promise that blows my mind alongside many others, I feel it ties in very nicely with the promises of Romans 8:28 and Jeremiah 29:11. I would say these scriptures best describe my testimony thus far.
