Young emerging talent Sam Hibbard recently released ‘Take Me Back‘ – track four on his Higher Ground EP. Sam is a featured artist on this platform with previous articles going back to when we raised the issue last year, of the lack of visible young artists in the UK Christian scene.
Since then Sam has had “…a sense of urgency to refine and finish songs that were on his heart.” After a successful crowdfunding campaign raising over £3000 he has now released his EP on which his latest single ‘Take Me Back‘ features.
Sam had this to say about the track “This is a song of surrender to God. A song about giving our all to God, choosing to give our lives over to him and to come into a place with intimacy with God again. It’s a prayer – “take my mind let it be transformed, let faith arise to see miracles…completely sold out of this cause…” God longs to see us choosing to live ourselves completely devoted and surrendered for his kingdom cause.”
The young artist credit the refining process of the songs to his journey with Worship Central Academy. He was blessed to get a mentor for the year that had a huge passion for songwriting.
