Manchester-based indie pop band BrightLine released a new single, ‘Crazy’, on Sunday 6th August to coincide with their appearance at CreationFest 2017. “It’s a proper feel-good song, with a bit of an 80s vibe – it’ll definitely make you want to dance!” comments Jacob Kemp, lead guitarist.
“As a band we’re constantly on a journey of discovering our sound, and this feels like a massive step forward” he continued. ‘Crazy’ will feature on the band’s hotly-anticipated new album, scheduled for a spring 2018 release.
Hailing from four different parts of the world (Portugal, Mexico, England and Wales) the band started in September 2013 after all four members completed Message Academy, a training year in youth work and evangelism run by award-winning international charity with a passion to share the gospel with young people – The Message Trust. Think feel good music, catchy melodies, driven by synths and guitars, then add a bit of beat boxing and you’ve got BrightLine. They are guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face.
Daniel Eduardo, the band’s vocalist and beatboxer, says: “Whenever we perform this song in schools, the students go… crazy! They can really relate to the lyrics. We can’t wait to play it at CreationFest and during our upcoming dates on the Higher Tour – in Manchester, the Midlands and South Wales. We’re passionate about seeing young people find their true identity in Jesus, even if they get called crazy.”
